1. What inspired you to start cookie decorating?
 

My daughter, of course!  She requested a Pusheen-themed party for her fourth birthday this past January.  I had recently watched a few cookie decorating videos and was intrigued to try.  I did a lot of research and gathered my supplies; most of which were from Crafty Cakes!  Those little Pusheen cookies is where it all started!

2. What motivates you?

 I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and love learning new things.  Art and creativity have consistently been at the center of my life; I’m most happy and at peace when creating.  I also love showing my daughter how a home-based business operates.  She enjoys decorating cookies alongside me while I work and I’m fortunate to have an extremely supportive husband and family!  

3. How long have you been decorating?  

I baked and decorated my first cookies in January of 2020.  I enjoyed creating cookies so much, that I decided to launch Hello, Cookie this past May.

4. What do you like best about cookie decorating?

My two favorite parts of the cookie process are the initial design phase and the actual decorating and detail phase.  I always sketch and refine my designs and enjoy that process immensely.  The decorating and detail phase is when those ideas can come to life!  I’m always trying to incorporate new techniques, interesting textures and modern color palettes.  

5. How would you describe your style of cookie decorating?  

My cookies are modern, clean, elegant and have a fresh look and feel.  I enjoy telling a story through my cookies and love taking my client’s list of ideas and creating a cohesive set.  I also limit the use of traditional cookie cutter shapes and prefer to create unique designs with a modern twist on basic shapes and plaques.

6. Any upcoming events we should know about?

 I will be offering Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Chanukah and Christmas gifting sets.  I will share important dates on my Instagram as pre-orders for each event become available!
